Procrastination is the action of unnecessarily postponing things or actions.
We procrastinate because our mindset to delay is stronger than our mindset to act. It depends on the individual’s discipline and self-control.

Following are the other reasons of procrastination

1. Short term mood
For a particular moment, you wouldn’t feel like doing a specific thing but at that moment you won’t realise that how much this temporary mood can affect your long term goal or achievement.
Solution- Realise the value of time and act upon 2-minute rule
Fool your mind that you will do the task for just 2 minutes and not more than that. Eventually, you will continue doing for more time.
2. Feeling overwhelmed
When we have too much to work we cannot decide from where to begin and we procrastinate.
Solution- Write down according to your priority list, divide it by time limit and begin.
3. Things that have least interest
We come across many things in our day to day life for which we don’t have much interest but we have to do it anyway.
Solution- Look at other perspective.
Understand that there might be something good lying within that you aren’t able to see because of least interest but who knows that it might be helpful in future.

4. Low energy and capacity of self-control
You get easily tired and lethargic to complete your daily chores and routine.
Solution- Get enough sleep, stay hydrated, do regular exercise.
Building a routine and following it helps you to be more enthusiast and energetic that degrades procrastination and increase productivity.
5. Delayed results
We often tend to procrastinate things because the outcomes and the results does not fulfil our expectations and take longer time.
Solution- Focus on process. Fall and fail. Learn from the mistakes and the things that you lack. Have that ability and mindset to always learn and be curious, results will come on its own.
These were the main reasons of our procrastination but in the end its just our mindset that we have created during these years by comparing and feeling less about ourselves.
